Pinterest Gift Ideas

We thought we would help you put together a little gift idea post with some tips on how to be the bestest friend, daughter, sister, brother, husband (etc) around!

The best tip we can give you (from experience) is when your friends say things like “I really want to buy a flamingo print” or “I’ve been looking for a cute new charcuterie board” - WRITE it down! Keep a little note on your phone of your friends’ random wants and needs. This will make you an amazing gift giver, and it will save you the “OH SHOOT it’s her birthday in 2 days and I have NO idea what to get her!” panic mode.

Step it up with personalized gifts! What better place to go for ideas than Pinterest? You know that DIYs are super fun to browse through, but who ever has the time to actually follow through and do them? We do! And we love to design with you. For instance, a friend of ours is buying a new place and she is Cambodian and her partner is Irish, so we came up with a neat charcuterie board with an elephant wearing a green leprechaun hat and their names burned in at the back. How happy were they with the gift? We’d give it a full 5 stars!

Here are some great Pinterest posts to get your thinking cap going. We are always updating the Gift Ideas Pinterest board and the Bisa Lisa one as well. Give us a follow!

Bisa Lisa Studio - R E - BRANDING

Why Bisa Lisa?

Bisa was Beatris’s childhood nickname, given to her by her older sister. Kuma Lisa is a Bulgarian folklore character; a trickster fox. Lisa is short for ‘lisitsa’, the Bulgarian word for fox. As she was always quite sneaky as a child, pranking away and having her peers go along with it, it wasn’t long before her family started calling her Bisa Lisa.

growthchart 2.0 - bear necessities

This one is for a new family expecting a little boy or girl (keeping it a surprise!) Their idea of raising a child is having the “bear necessities” and enjoying the good things in life like nature, exploring and daily laughs. Taking it easy, I created this beautiful growthchart to mark baby’s milestones every year.

growth chart - art in progress!

Remember when you were a kid and all you could think about was growing up, growing taller, reaching the candy jar, being out with friends past dark, kissing your first crush, moving out of home, outgrowing your dad? Well, parents remember all that too. And to them, you're still a baby (just ask my mom)... well, parents also love to hold on to the moments when you are children and often, they do this by marking your height at different ages on the door trim. With our world moving on ever so quickly and our childhood homes leaving our lives, it's hard to keep that door trim (although I have heard of parents taking it out and replacing it before moving! go getters!) So, here is a way to have it as long as you like, and even pass it on to your kid's kids and compare and compete!

Here are some process photos I've been sharing on Instagram. I am so excited about this project! I cannot wait to complete it (though it is taking me MANY hours as it is my largest piece yet!). Also, happy news guys, I'll be making wall stickers of this so it is more affordable and many people can enjoy it! Stay tuned and follow along if you like on my instagram

P O P - U P shop - west elm

I absolutely love doing these pop-ups at West Elm.

For starters, the store is incredibly inspiring; there's trendy & beautiful furniture, decor, plates, dog statues, flamingo snow globes, cacti figurines - all of it - so lots of eye candy for me. Also lots of punny things which I thoroughly enjoy. The customers that come in are always lovely and from all over the place, often with pets or cute children (bonus!). And most importantly, my friends always enjoy the store when they 'pop' in!

The staff is phenomenal and kind, and they often stop and talk to little old me, some are sassy (the best kind) and they're also super trendy. The pop up organizer is so wonderful and accommodating, and one of those honest bold people, you know? The ones you can be sarcastic with and they can take it; good people. Anyway, as you can tell I am excited about Sunday and pretty attached to this place. Thanks West Elm! IG: @westelmgranville
